I went to Clintonville Auto Repair Service today when AAA recommended them for a tire repair. I was surprised to walk into a small buisiness with great customer service and people who are very personable. Upon inspection I got a full list of items of that my vehicle that may need serviced, I felt like I got accurate information and was not oversold. I also received some feedback on what I may need to budget for in the coming months. I fully intend to continue going to this business in the future because of the great customer service and at-home feel!

I came here looking for a mechanic closer to home and was shocked by how taken advantage of I felt. I was initially quoted around $800, which I was prepared to pay. After the diagnostic report, however, the estimate jumped to nearly $7,000. I decided to get a second opinion from my longtime mechanic, who fixed all the actual issues for under $1,000. Several of the repairs recommended here turned out not to be problems at all, but items suggested based on mileage rather than necessity. The diagnostic report was thorough, and the staff were pleasant to work with, but recommending thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs made it hard to trust the service. I canβt recommend this shop based on the value provided.

I called and spoke with Paul regarding an issue with my car, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. I was trying to explain what was going on and may not have used the exact terminology, but instead of trying to help, he repeatedly focused on correcting my wording and kept saying things like, βI donβt know what youβre talking aboutβ and that he had βnever heard of a pan leak.β The conversation felt unnecessarily rude and extremely dismissive, especially as a female. My grandfather has been a mechanic for over 50 years and taught welding at University of Northwestern Ohio, so I understand how people in this business can be, but Iβve never had someone make me feel so small over stumbling on wording while asking for help. I was simply trying to find out when someone could look at my car, but instead the conversation became solely focused on criticizing how I described the issue rather than helping solve it. I hope future customers (ESPECIALLY WOMEN) are treated with more patience, respect, understanding, and professionalism.

I am beyond speechless ! My battery died at the UDF gas pump and I called another shop which was actually closer and was advised the fee was going to be almost $200 for a jump. I then called Clintonville auto repair and Greg answered and told me he would be over within five minutes. Upon arrival with a jump pack , within minutes I was back on the road. He would not even let me give him a tip, but told me to pay it forward. I definitely will and anytime I need automotive repairs. I will definitely know where to go. Thank you so much, Greg.
